A quantitative urinary glucose meter has recently been remarked as a self-monitoring
tool for home testing of diabetes. The meter consists of a glucose sensor
for glucose oxidase enzymatic reactions and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) electrochemical
reactions, which are performed on a single chip fabricated with the use of
micro-planer amperometric biosensor technology. Through the evaluationof actual
urine sample measurements, this urinary glucose meter has been proven to have
superior specifications; wide measurment range (0-2000 mg/dL), rapid response
(6 seconds), long shelf time (60 days) and removal of interferents effect.
Furthermore, the meter offers exceptional performance in the quantification
of urinary glucose, given its "palm-top" 200mm size.
